Minor - Katherine Sword Design and Palette Exploration

Out of these 3 and 5 are my favourites. 1, 2 and 4 seem either too fancy or edgy for Katherine. I want it to look like an old sword she found and customised a little so I think number 5 looks best, like she found it, wrapped the cloth around the handle and stuck her signature feathers on there to make it hers.

After going with number 5 from the initial designs, I decided to play around with colour. I want to stick with colours from her palette for now, but to really mess around with the "found sword" thing I'm going to throw in a few new colours for my next iterations.

Front Lines
Side

I fixed up the lips a little, they still don't look perfect but they look a lot closer to what I want for Katherine. I added two lines either side of the main lip line so i can get a harsh edge for her lips since they're very defined. I will now move onto the eyes.

The Lips haven't come out how I would like them. I wanted them to match the front view of my orthographic more but that was difficult to achieve. Plus they look very creased. I'm going to keep working on them to get them how I would like.

Minor - Katherine Head Modelling #2 - Rough Blocking Complete

So far I think this isn't looking half bad. I may run into problems around the lips and eyes since they're so stylised, but I should be able to work through them. I'm going to do a little cleanup before I move onto the lips.

Minor - Grimm Concept Silhouettes

Two types of Grimm. The first is more starvation based and the second is exaggeration based. (Not gender-exclusive types, any gender can be either type of Grimm.)

Minor - Katherine Orthographic Update

Added hair, fixed arms so they're in a T-Pose, kept the A-pose arms for reference.

Something about the front arms look a little off to me so I'm holding off on doing the back and top view for them until I fix it.

Minor - Katherine Side Orthographic update

Moved jawline and ear to the middle of the neck, fixed lip structure.

Now I just have to figure out how her hair would work in each view and fix the position of the arms.

@Alan - Minor - Katherine Orphographic Turnaround WIP

What I have so far

This is what I've done of the orthographic view for modelling so far. I'm having trouble with the side view right now and also the hair (which is why it doesn't have any hair yet). I'm going to move the arms up into a T-Pose since the A-pose could be difficult for modelling.

Minor - Final Palette and Design

This is the finished design of my protagonist. I have decided to name her Katherine or 'Kit' as a nickname.

Next, I'm going to work on the orthographs and references of the smaller parts of her costume. (belts, buttons, trinkets on hat etc.)

Minor - Further Palette Exploration

A few Cape variations with different accent colours
The idea of the final palette
Bigger versions of some final palettes. Middle one looks too antagonistic to me, So right now I'm stuck between the first (teal accent) and third (red accent).

The red suits her as a pirate captain, but then the teal conveys the same and also suits the kind of fantasy world I've created. It also makes her stand out a little more as a protagonist.
