From Script to Screen - Lifecycle of my characters

Before I designed any eggs, I wanted to make sure it was biologically possible for the bird-like species of my story. I wanted them to be big enough to hold a baby, but not too big as to do damage to the mother.

I think their "laying eggs" would be much like giving birth to humans. Since humans can sometimes give birth to large babies, I thought this to be a logical thing. So the species "lays the egg" through birth, and the eggs are subsequently taken off to incubation to hatch.

From Script to Screen - Script Draft 1

At first, I wanted the script to have no dialogue, with expressions being shown through body language and small noises from the character. But I realized toward the end that would not be possible. So some dialogue was added.
