@ Phil What If? Metropolis - Composition Possibilites

I want to make Neemia a calm and inviting place. Somewhere for people to relax and take a break. And I think I have the colors down. But i'm still struggling with the composition of the piece, and from which angle to frame things. Whatever I try they're still coming off pretty intimidating

  1. I don't find No. 1 'not calm' - I think perhaps the colour palette is a bit neurotic - it's very cold and wintry, but I think a more 'shell-derived' colour palette and emphasis on Gaum's translucency would change that pretty quick. In design terms, I do think that you might consider working into some of your building ideas a little more - I think it would be useful for you to look at some real world architectural reference in terms of getting some of the details a bit more resolved - certainly in terms of scale - are there windows and doors and balconies and terraces - and if so how are they fabricated? I think at the moment you're still in a 'loose' place around the nuts and bolts of what these buildings are and why we're looking at these ones in particular.

    1. I'll do a few color swaps today to find a more shell derived palette, and i'll take another look at Gabo's work and some architecture to figure out the translucency problem. I know its something i'm struggling with in this project. Thanks Phil!
