So today I did another NCloth Test and found out that the clothes just aren't working well in my scene at all. So as annoyed as I am to announce this, I've made the decision to get rid of all my NCloth. While this does mean the Poncho, Dresses, and Stamen will be stationary (since I can't go back and re-rig at this stage), I will do my best to make the animation engaging with what I have.
Hmmm - I don't understand this decision, Annie - is it a bit 'baby out with the bath water?' At the moment, the effect of your n-cloth is that there's a breeze playing with all your floaty elements... I don't think it's disastrous at all... would it not be more of an issue if the floaty bits aren't in anyway floaty? Careful your film doesn't end up being 'death by a 1000 cuts'.... Fight for your original vision, Annie!
ReplyDeleteI'd really love to but no matter what movement happens the poncho cuts through itself and the anthers fly off the stamen :/ i'll talk to simon on friday and see what he says but right now it's looking like the ncloth won't happen
